Privacy Statement

The Indonesian Actuarial Journal collects personal data from the people who use this site only to the extent needed to operate a scholarly journal. This statement explains what is collected, why, and how it is handled.

What is collected

For every registered user: name, email address, affiliation, country, and where supplied an ORCID iD and a short biography. For authors: the same information for every co-author, together with the manuscript and its supporting files. For reviewers: fields of expertise and the review history within this journal. The platform also records log data such as login times and IP addresses for security purposes.

How it is used

Names, affiliations, and ORCID iDs of authors are published with the article and deposited as article metadata with Crossref and with indexing services, which is a normal and necessary part of scholarly publication. All other data is used solely to operate the editorial process, to send notifications the user has asked for, and to meet the journal's obligations in cases of suspected research misconduct.

Reviewer identities are never disclosed to authors. Names and email addresses are never sold, rented, or shared with third parties for marketing, and are never used for any purpose outside the operation of this journal.

Retention and rights

Submission records are retained for as long as needed to maintain the scholarly record, including records of manuscripts that were rejected or withdrawn. Published article metadata is permanent by nature, since it is part of the citation record.

A registered user may view and correct their own data at any time through their profile, may unsubscribe from notifications at any time, and may ask for their account to be deactivated by writing to editorial.iaj@aktuaris.or.id. Deactivation does not remove the metadata of an article already published.

The site uses cookies required for login sessions, and aggregate visitor statistics that do not identify individual readers.
