The Indonesian Actuarial Journal (IAJ) is a peer-reviewed, open access journal published twice a year by Persatuan Aktuaris Indonesia, the Society of Actuaries of Indonesia. It has been in publication since 2025.

Aims and Scope

IAJ publishes original research in actuarial science, in both its theoretical and applied forms. A paper may draw on probability theory, statistics, operations research, numerical analysis, data science, mathematical economics, or any other branch of applied mathematics, so long as it bears directly on actuarial practice. The journal serves actuaries in practice and in research across Indonesia and the wider region, as well as regulators, postgraduate students, and the international actuarial community. Types of Manuscript

The journal considers original research articles, review articles, and case studies or short communications. At least sixty per cent of the articles in each issue are original research. See Types of Manuscript.

Publishing Schedule

Two issues are published each year, in July and December, each containing a minimum of five articles. Accepted articles are published online as Articles in Press before the issue is formally closed, so that work can be read and cited without waiting for the issue date. See Publishing Schedule.

Peer Review

Every manuscript is screened by an editor and then assessed by at least three reviewers under a single-blind process. Reviewers are drawn from institutions other than those of the authors, and members of the Editorial Team do not serve as reviewers. See Peer Review Process.

Open Access and Fees

Every article is freely available from the moment of publication, carries a Digital Object Identifier, and is published under a Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike 4.0 International License. The journal charges no submission fee and no article processing charge, and readers pay nothing to access its content.

Publication Ethics

The journal follows the Principles of Transparency and Best Practice in Scholarly Publishing issued by the Committee on Publication Ethics. Its editorial policies are set out on the Publication Ethics page.
