Submissions
Submission Preparation Checklist
As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.
- The manuscript uses the official IAJ Article Template, in Word or LaTeX.
- Both the main manuscript and a blinded manuscript are prepared for upload.
- The completed Author Declaration Form is prepared for upload.
- Author names carry no academic degrees or job titles, and each affiliation states the institution, city, and country.
- The abstract is within 300 words and contains no references, tables, figures, or equations.
- The introduction contains a state of the art overview, a statement of novelty or research gap, and a clear statement of the research objectives.
- The discussion compares the findings with those of other researchers in relevant and recent publications.
- All five author declarations are completed: artificial intelligence, author contribution, funding, conflict of interest, and data availability.
- The manuscript contains at least 20 references, of which at least 80 per cent are primary sources and at least 80 per cent were published within the last 10 years.
- The submission has not been previously published and is not before another journal for consideration.
Copyright Notice
Authors retain the copyright of their articles published in the Indonesian Actuarial Journal. The journal does not require the transfer of copyright.
By submitting a manuscript, the authors grant Persatuan Aktuaris Indonesia the right of first publication, together with a non-exclusive right to publish, reproduce, distribute, and archive the article in any medium, and to register a Digital Object Identifier for it. Articles are published under a Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike 4.0 International License (CC BY-SA 4.0).
Because copyright remains with the authors, they are free to deposit the published version in an institutional repository, on a personal website, or on a preprint server, and to reuse the material in a thesis, a book, or a subsequent work, provided the original publication in this journal is acknowledged with a full citation and a link to the article.
Every published article states the following on its first page: Copyright © [year] Author(s). Published by Persatuan Aktuaris Indonesia.
Third-party material reproduced in an article, such as a figure or a table taken from another publication, remains the property of its original owner. It is the authors' responsibility to obtain written permission for its reuse and to state the source in the caption.
On acceptance, the corresponding author will be asked to sign the Author Agreement and Licence to Publish on behalf of all authors.
