Manuscript Submission. The Indonesian Actuarial Journal (IAJ) accepts original research papers in all areas of actuarial science and their applications. The journal also welcomes survey papers that stimulate research in these areas. Manuscripts should be submitted online at iaj.aktuaris.or.id/index.php/iaj/about/submissions. It is understood that the submitted paper is not being considered for publication in other journals. If a paper is accepted for publication in IAJ, the author is assumed to have transferred the copyright to the Society of Actuaries of Indonesia.
Reviewing of Manuscripts. Each submitted paper will be sent to two reviewers for evaluation. We utilize a double-blind peer review process, and the decision will be based on the evaluation reports from the reviewers. If necessary, a third reviewer may be consulted to assess the paper.
Abstract Indexing. Papers published in this journal are reviewed by major indexing services, including Mathematical Reviews (http://www.ams.org/mathscinet), Zentralblatt für Mathematik (http://www.emis.de/ZMATH), and Scopus. (https://www.scopus.com/sourceid/21101064980)
Form of Manuscript. Manuscripts should be written in English and prepared using the provided Word templates available on our website. Each manuscript must include an abstract, keywords. Authors are advised to avoid complicated formula in the title and abstract.
Submission Files. Authors are required to submit two files: (1) a main document, which contains the complete manuscript including author names, affiliations, and acknowledgments; and (2) a blinded version of the manuscript, in which all author-identifying details are removed to ensure a proper double-blind peer review process.
Authorship. By entering the names of the author(s) in the IAJ metadata, it signifies that the author(s) agree that there will be no changes to the authorship of the submitted article after agreeing to the galley proof version of the manuscript. The galley proof will be sent to authors prior to the publication of their accepted manuscript.
Abstract. The abstract must be presented in English and should summarize the main results and methods used, in no more than 250 words. If the paper is a survey, it should be indicated in the abstract.
Figures. If included, figures should be supplied in a form suitable for photographic reproduction after the printer has inserted any necessary lettering in the correct type. They should be drawn in black ink on good quality white paper, approximately the size they will appear in print.
References. References should be listed in alphabetical order according to the surnames of the authors at the end of the paper. Journal titles should be abbreviated according to the “Abbreviations of Names of Serials” in the Mathematical Reviews Annual Index. The following reference styles should be used.
[1] Leung, D.H. and Tang, W.K., “Functions of Baire class one,” Fund. Math., 179 (2003), 225-247.
[2] Chartrand, G. and Zhang, P., Chromatic Graph Theory, Chapman & Hall/CRC, Boca Raton, 2009.
References should be cited in the text as, for example, [1].
