The Indonesian Actuarial Journal considers three types of manuscript. Every submission must state its type on the first page and select the corresponding section at submission.
Original Research Article
A report of original work with a clear objective, an appropriate method, results, and conclusions. At least sixty per cent of the articles in each issue are of this type.
Review Article
A comprehensive and critical review of a defined topic in actuarial science. A review article must contain a section presenting the authors' own analysis and original contribution, and must not be a summary of the existing literature alone.
Case Study or Short Communication
A focused report on a specific case or a concise contribution. It must still contain an objective or hypothesis, a method, results with analysis, and a conclusion.
Manuscripts not considered
The journal does not consider editorials, book reviews, letters, or conference abstracts for publication.
Multiple or redundant publication is not permitted. A manuscript must not have been published elsewhere, in whole or in part, and must not be under consideration by any other journal at the time of submission.
