Aims and Scope

The Indonesian Actuarial Journal (IAJ) covers actuarial science in both its theoretical and applied forms. A paper may draw on probability theory, statistics, operations research, numerical analysis, data science, mathematical economics, or any other branch of applied mathematics, so long as it bears directly on actuarial practice. The journal serves actuaries in practice and in research across Indonesia and the surrounding region.

Publication Frequency

The Indonesian Actuarial Journal (IAJ) is published by the Society of Actuaries of Indonesia (Persatuan Aktuaris Indonesia) and has been in publication since 2025. The journal is published twice a year in July and December.

Article Types

IAJ publishes original research, review articles, and empirical studies. Submissions must be original work, not under consideration elsewhere and not previously published.

Peer Review Process

Every article is peer reviewed: screened first by an editor, then sent to independent referees under anonymous review.

Open Access Policy

The Indonesian Actuarial Journal is a fully open access journal. Every article is freely available on the journal website from the moment of publication, without an embargo period and without any requirement to register, subscribe, or pay.

The journal follows the definition of open access set out in the Budapest Open Access Initiative. Readers may read, download, copy, distribute, print, search, or link to the full text of every article, provided the original work is properly cited.

The journal does not operate a hybrid model. There is no paid option to make an individual article open, because every article already is.

Full text is provided in PDF at a unique and stable address for each article, identified by a Digital Object Identifier. Metadata is made openly available for harvesting through the Open Archives Initiative Protocol for Metadata Harvesting.
