Aims and Scope

The Indonesian Actuarial Journal (IAJ) covers actuarial science in both its theoretical and applied forms. A paper may draw on probability theory, statistics, operations research, numerical analysis, data science, mathematical economics, or any other branch of applied mathematics, so long as it bears directly on actuarial practice. The journal serves actuaries in practice and in research across Indonesia and the surrounding region.

Publication Frequency

The Indonesian Actuarial Journal (IAJ) is published by the Society of Actuaries of Indonesia (Persatuan Aktuaris Indonesia) and has been in publication since 2025. The journal is published twice a year in July and December.

Article Types

IAJ publishes original research, review articles, and empirical studies. Submissions must be original work, not under consideration elsewhere and not previously published.

Peer Review Process

Every article is peer reviewed: screened first by an editor, then sent to independent referees under anonymous review.

Copyright Notice

Authors retain the copyright of their articles published in the Indonesian Actuarial Journal. The journal does not require the transfer of copyright.

By submitting a manuscript, the authors grant Persatuan Aktuaris Indonesia the right of first publication, together with a non-exclusive right to publish, reproduce, distribute, and archive the article in any medium, and to register a Digital Object Identifier for it.

Because copyright remains with the authors, they are free to deposit the published version in an institutional repository, on a personal website, or on a preprint server, and to reuse the material in a thesis, a book, or a subsequent work, provided the original publication in this journal is acknowledged with a full citation and a link to the article.

Every published article states the following on its first page:

Third-party material reproduced in an article, such as a figure or a table taken from another publication, remains the property of its original owner. It is the authors’ responsibility to obtain written permission for its reuse and to state the source in the caption.
