The Indonesian Actuarial Journal (IAJ) is published by the Society of Actuaries of Indonesia (Persatuan Aktuaris Indonesia). It is a journal dedicated to actuarial sciences, covering both theoretical and applied mathematical methods for insurance and related fields.
The boundaries of actuarial mathematics are defined by the area of application rather than the uniformity of methods and techniques. Therefore, a paper of interest to the Indonesian Actuarial Journal may have its theoretical foundation in probability theory, statistics, operations research, numerical analysis, data science, mathematical economics, or any other field of applied mathematics; the main criterion is that the paper should have specific relevance to actuarial applications.
The journal aims to promote progress in the development of actuarial methodology and the dissemination of established methods in practical actuarial work. The Indonesian Actuarial Journal also publishes review articles and empirical studies.
All published research articles undergo rigorous peer review, involving initial editor screening, anonymous refereeing by independent expert referees, and subsequent revision by authors when required. Manuscripts submitted must be original contributions and not under consideration for publication in another journal, nor have been previously published in whole or in part.
The Indonesian Actuarial Journal has been published since 2025 and aims to serve the needs of the actuarial community in Indonesia and surrounding regions.
Readership: Actuarial scientists - both practitioners and theoreticians.
